Morning 500 mb chart:

Wednesday Sept 20 Bruce arrived at REAL and worked on the software to enable direct control of the flashlamp voltage.  The automatic increase that was in the software was increasing the voltage too high and it was difficult to keep the eye-safe energy at 130mj.  The direct control of the flashlamp voltage was implemented and now the voltage in the init file is the value that will be set into the laser.  The value of 1.49kV gives an eye-safe energy of 120-125mj.

Coherent structures starting to appear in the lidar data after 1100 PDT

PPI and Winds from a vehhicle driving out to the array.

Flashlamp voltage increased to 1.50kV at 1200 PDT and the energy per pulse at 1.54 is now 130mj.
