New Capabilities In WFSRI 3.5

The following new capabilities have been added to the WFSRI. See the WFSRI 3.5 User Guide for instructions on how to make use of each new capability:

  • Support for Get Capabilities customization
  • Support for KVP Get Capabilities requests
  • Support for POX encoding over http POST for all operations except transaction-insert (SOAP username/password required for inserts)
  • Support for request delegation to another upstream WFSRI
  • Support for data service profiles, or limits, on client requests
  • Support for self-test diagnostics following installation
  • Support for monitoring of various performance metrics

Changes From Prior Releases

  • The WFSRI Template has now been replaced with the Registration Client - see the WFSRI 3.5 Installation instructions
  • Registering producers, creating feature tables, and registering feature types is now done solely through the Registration Client
  • The Registration Client now perfoms self-test diagnostics following installation to ensure the installation was a success
  • WFSRI 3.5 is supported in Apache Tomcat only, FUSE ESB support will not be provided for this release
  • WFSRI 3.5 now provides XML schema validation of incoming XML requests
  • WFSRI 3.5 now supports the official ISO WFS 2.0 Specification
