  1. Had issues last maintenance day and prior to RF02 with the Auto A2D calibration locking at 19%. Well, of course with Janine present today to look into it, it worked just fine. DSM304 S/N 1602 CH4 is 12mv off. DSM 304 S/N 1705 CH2 & 3 40mv off, CH4 77mv off, CH5 81mv off, CH6 77mv off. Outside RTH1 & RTH2 values are between 30 to 31C.

Inspected and blew out QCR tubing. No signs of water. It did come back during descent of RF03.

Decided to replace the RWO DSM CPU. Original card S/N 00665. Card replacement S/N 00570. The decision was make because when we replaced this card at RAF before deployment, we have been getting reboots when we engage power to the 2D probe which is on a separate 60Hz circuit. We have also been getting random inflight reboots as well as some weird behavior. See previous flight notes for more information. After the card was replaced, we still got a reboot when we powered up the 2D probe. This happens periodically and not all the time. Should further investigate when back at RAF.

    Containers showed up.

Next maintenance day: Clean 2DC-25, cal CDP, and inspect QCTP and test pitot heat.

  2. Kyle,

Good decision on the CPU, hopefully that's the fix!

  3. Kyle,

After swapping out the DSM CPU, If the DSM is continuing to reboot on 2DC power-up, will you try an experiment for me: Disconnect the USB cable from 2D probe at DSM and (while the DSM is booted), try power-cycling the 2D probe 5 times (15s cool-down period). Does a DSM reset occur? Then reconnect the USB and power cycle 5 times to verify that the reset occurs. I'd like to know if the DSM reset still occurs during 2DC power-up if the USB cable is not connected.

  4. Kyle,

Will you please also check the 60Hz wiring of the RWO circuits and verify that the AC returns are properly paired with the lines?
