John continues working on VDC 3.0 API. Metadata operations are currently supported. Currently working on integrating wavelet transform code into new API.
Scott demonstrated a possible text renderer to replace current Qt based text drawing. The open source code, FTGL uses Freetype2 fonts.
Alan presented plans for supporting undo/redo and parameter setting. New mechanisms were introduced to support multiple parameter changes when parameters spanned different param classes. John asked if interface could be simplified. Also need to discuss error handling in param setting. What should happen when an a parameter is set to an invalid value?
