Statement: I’ve worked on analyzing, developing and refining algorithms for aerosol retrievals from satellites. Especially, I have a keen interest in deriving value-added information about biomass burning smoke plumes such as their absorption properties (single-scattering albedo) and layer height, by merging measurements from multiple satellite sensors. It is my intent to have an opportunity to meet modelers and the leading experts in biomass burning to find out what is their need and what I can do to work with them in order to improve our understanding on the biomass burning and its impact on our environment and climate.
