Operations, Mechanical and Electrical Room Viewing Areas
Description and Benefits:
Display the organization of operating the center to the public by allowing them to view into the rooms.
Show the supporting devices needed to operate the room. Possibly outline the mechanical systems needed to keep the room running by showing a map.
Show how organized each room is and what is needed to operate the facility. Use line drawings to show how the power is used in the DC. Use lights to display which devices do what on the drawings.
NCAR/UCAR's role:
The viewing areas could be used as an starting point for instruction and demonstration to foster new people to enter into these facility roles and job functions.
