Comparing fluxes from two different atmospheric states
Some users may wish to replace some of the data produced in Create Data using any of the typical methods used to manipulate netcdf data. For example:
- ncap -s"rad_Q=0.5*rad_Q" RAD_BASE.cam2.h1.0000-01-01-00000.nc One_Half_Specific_humidity.nc
By running PORT twice (once on each file), the fluxes and heating rates from both atmospheric specifications are diagnosed. It is then possible to compare fluxes and heating rates from having half as much water vapor in the atmosphere.
