                  ?    Local High Schools

  • Schedule all volunteer assignments for the day of WeatherFest (from setup to closing)
  • Organize all volunteers on day of event to include check-in, briefing them on responsibilities, etc.
  • Work with exhibitors to ensure they are fully supported on the day of the event.
  • Be a source of information for visitors
  • Send thank you letters to all volunteers after the event.
  • Actively work with Teachers Workshop Committee Leader to ensure enough volunteers are on hand to fully support the Teachers Workshop.

 Volunteer Activities:

1.  Helping people find their booth and any assistance needed (obviously within reason re: their booth)

2. Greeting as visitors arrive

3. Handing out and collecting Passports (review Passport instructions so that volunteers can answer questions)

4. Passing out surveys/pencils to adults prior to their departure for their survey input;collecting surveys

5. Help WeatherFest committee by participating in Teacher Booth input (see WeatherFest Co-chairs) and other assessment help

6. Be a source of information: bathrooms, drinking fountains, nearest food source, finding items needed (scissors, tape for example)

7.  Have a few volunteers constantly circulating booths asking if anything is needed.  Sole exhibitors might need a quick restroom break for instance.

8.  Volunteers should have a map of the exhibitors and where they are located.  Ideally this will include what that exhibitor is offering at WeatherFest.
