Thursday, September 28: After the completion of packing REAL this morning, which only took a couple of hours and completion of packing REAL today, Ben, Dexter, and I decided to visit the playa ("Mud Dry Lake") about 10 miles south of the field site. We discovered quite a bit of water there.
