Estimation of observation error standard deviations for T and Q profiles
(through global values, maps, scatterplots, histograms, etc):
* Distinguish PolarDay/PolarNight
* Distinguish Land/SeaIce/Sea/etc
* Assess the correlation of OMB with obs errors estimated by NASA for T and Q
Deliverables: what observation errors do we specify for T&Q profiles in WRF-Var assimilation experiments? Is it scientifically sound to use NASA estimated values?
