4-6 November 2019, NCAR, Boulder, CO

Previous workshops held in Boulder and Tsukuba in 2013 and earlier in Belgium in 2002 focused on SFIT development, error analysis and building a processing environment for organizing and analyzing large datasets incurred with in the IRWG or an aircraft campaign.  The 2019 SFIT Retrieval workshop builds on previous workshops but focused on new users from across the globe, with presentations and discussions on introductory issues, spectroscopy, forward model and retrieval parameters and their dependencies.  A in depth review of the processing environment was presented with details on working with  network and aircraft datasets.  For the first time presentations from lower spectral resolution instruments were given and pertinent details were discussed.  Some time was devoted to one-on-one reviews of individual retrieval efforts.

Materials from the workshop are available below.  The latest version of SFIT4 was reviewed and used as a precursor for the imminent release of V1.0.

Presentations

Can be found 2019Workshop.  Several presentations on setting up and running SFIT and the processing environment are included as well as some more detail om implementation of the forward model and retrieval, spectroscopy.
