How much institutional commitment is there, really?
PS position seems to vary a lot across divisions, labs, …
Pros and cons of flexibility.

Changing from PS to S.

• Will there be PS4?
• Codify evaluation criteria
• long-term commitment, core funding?

My notes seem mostly to be contained in Andrew's (longer) notes.
To me the prediction from the Exec Cmte that PS will (soon?) become the most numerous position implies a need for significant and careful examination of what is good or bad about PS practice and use today.
Also there seems to be an unusual opportunity today for PS to guide how the institution uses PS in the future.
