Objectives = discuss advances on WRF+, introduce Scott to the team and coordinate work

Minutes (thanks to Beau)

• ThomasN is currently inclined towards OpenAD, but still evaluating other options (Tapenade, TAF, ...).
• NAG is proceeding with their FORTRAN compiler efforts but this is too tentative to count on and would probably be longer term.
• Tom Henderson has provided a tar file with (Fortran+ruby) tools for derivation (i.e. simplification) of WRF NL model for TAF and generating automated test routines.

Actions

• Thomas N: provide TL testing tools to Beau
• Beau: Evaluate TL tools above for inclusion in consolidated branch
• Xin/Beau: document what other wrf+ branches represented
• Beau: Current TLADJ test is only 1 step, needs to be expanded (10-12 steps, 6 hours?)
• Scott: Look for "low hanging fruit" in mpi optimization issue: solve_em_adj routine
• Tom: define schedule, aka set deadline for build/evolve decision and AD tool choice
