Picture above is off the rack of the 449MHz system and its components important for powering up the profiler.

SETUP

Profiler PC: Thatcher

1. Turn on Profiler PC   ** Note: For Thatcher make sure to select 2nd option for OS. There will be a screen that shows up with a count down, press any button and then use down key to select 2nd option, then press enter.
2. When using the DRP there is currently no way of monitoring HPA output power, so the power meter will not be needed.

Power Supplies:

HPA Voltage supply - Agilent N5769A 

       3. Turn on power supply

       4. Press limit and use voltage knob to set DC power to ~40 V  

       5. Still in Limit screen, use current knob to se Current to 15 A

Driver Amp Tray Supply - Agilent N6702A 

       6. Turn on power supply

       ** Note: This power supply was previously set up to remember the parameter given. CH 1 is the only one needed for the DBP. 

       7. Make sure CH 1 is selected. Use channel button to scroll through until selected.  (If you want to verify correct voltage and current you can press either voltage or current buttons and the preset parameters will appear. The correct parameters are 31V and 4A)

POWERING ON

1. Press ON/OFF button on Agilent N6702A power supply. 
2. Press Out ON button on Agilent N5769A power supply.
3. Once the 2nd power supply is on, press the limit button and slowly increase the voltage to 50V using the voltage knob, the fine button can also be used for slow adjustments towards the end.

      4. On the back of the RIM Box there is a power switch, turn to ON. The two lights on front will light up

NOW THE PROFILER SOFTWARE IS SAFE AND READY TO BE USED

*** If needed to power down, make sure software is stopped and follow turn on steps in reverse order
