The TIEGCM requires 20 days of simulation time to precondition the ionosphere. This spinup interval prevents any diurnal variation from affecting the run interval you request. MakeItSo will automatically configure a run to account for the 20 day spinup interval. MakeItSo will properly configure the model such that the spinup interval can cross a TIEGCM year boundary.
