The radar wind profiler is down for unknown reasons. Initially a problem was suspected in the processing chain, however after some investigation it now appears that the system is not transmitting indicating either a problem with the final amplifier or with the RIM synthesizer box. The profiler processes were stopped remotely as a precaution. Lou will visit the site tomorrow morning to investigate further.
