CGD/IS uses SAMBA to shared files between the linux file servers and MS Windows and Mac clients.
This allows CGD users on any platform to access the /project and /fs directories.

With either platform, use your CIT Windows Domain password to authenticate to the share.

MS Windows

To connect to the shares from a Windows system, click on Start/Programs and in the search field type:

\\samba.cgd.ucar.edu\project
\\samba.cgd.ucar.edu\fs

Mac OS

From the Finder on a Mac, click on Go/Connect to Server and type in:

smb://samba.cgd.ucar.edu/project
smb://samba.cgd.ucar.edu/fs
