The rate of the 20 MHz clocks on the diamond GPIO-MM-12 cards was measured using the rubidium referenced signal generator in the EOL sounding lab prior to AHATS. For some of the cards, two tests were run, and the average of the tests, rounded to the nearest integer was used in the computing the period of the Paroscientific pulses.
Currently the nidas XML supports 32 bit integer and single precision floating point parameters. Single precision provides 6-7 significant digits, and we need approximately 9. Until double precision is available, we use integer.
