- Scott: reviewing WRF RK method on bluefire
- Thomas N.: running various tests with OpenAD
- Successfully ran simple advection case but this is probably not something for the mid-term
- Ran MPAS solver but obtain various errors related to f95 linked lists and DTTs.
- Coordinating with Jean at ANL on issue
- MPAS folks finalizing language and architecture decisions in September/October time frame
- Beau: Compiled, tested, and ran simple cases of OpenAD on ncar local machine
Action Items:
- Thomas: Evaluate 'recoding' of MPAS solver so it is amenable to OpenAD
- Thomas: Query ANL on robustness of C++ front end vs. f90
- Scott: Get test case from Xin
- Don: Circulate 4dVar test/benchmark harness
- Beau: Circulate 'baseline' reference for Scott to start with, i.e.
- Beau: provide ad test support to Thomas N.
- Tom: Will circulate ACAPS statement of work location on wiki
- Tom: Preparing agenda for 7/23
