August 5
Dan Rajewski (in Ames)
Summary: Stations 1-4 operational, no ISFS staff on-site, Russ and Dan serviced the wind cube stations around 17:00-18:00
mostly easterly flow with periods with SE or NE directions, weak speeds, cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon

Vdsm: 13.4-13.7 V during day, down to 12.4 at night
P: ok, pressure mostly steady until early afternoon, falling as showers and storms progress into the evening
T2m: stns mostly in agreement, but a period from 1:00 to 2:30 where stn 4 is about 0.7 degrees C cooler than other sites, stn1 also slightly cooler than other sites from early morning to evening
RH.2m: stn 4 about 5-7%RH higher than the other stations most of the night and day
H2O.2m: night:  stn 4 about 0.5-0.7 g/m^3 higher than at other sites much of the night and daytime

Wetness: slight dew from 5:00-7:00 then dry until 13:30 with thunderstorm and showers keeping sensor wet the rest of the period

T.10m: ok, before midnight stn 1 about 0.5-0.7 degrees C warmer than other sites, also from 3:00-5:00, stn3 about 0.7 degrees cooler than stns 2 & 4 from 4:30-5:30, close daytime agreement, but stn4 slightly cooler in the afternoon and early evening
RH.10m: stn 2 about 7-10%RH lower than other sites both night and day; stn 3&4 slightly higher than stn 1 most of the night
H2O.10m: night: stn 2 about 1.5 g/m^3 drier than other sites, stn1 slightly lower than stns 3 & 4; day: stn 2 about 0.5-1.0 g/m^3 drier than other sites
Spd.10m: ok, few night periods with one stn about 1.0 m/s high/lower than another with the others in between; late afternoon stn 2 slightly lower speeds than other sites
Dir.10m: ok, NE  to SE winds during the night; E winds by early afternoon and continuing the rest of the period

T.10m - T.2m: night: stn 4 slightly warmer at 10 m vs. 2 m from 1:00-2:00 , close morning and afternoon agreement
H2O.10m - H2O.2m: stns 1 & 3 mostly agree, stn 2 about 1.0-1.5 g/m^3 drier at 10 m vs. 2 m much of the night and daytime; stn 4 about 0.7 g/m^3 drier at 10m vs. 2m during the night and  and about 1.0 g/m^3 drier at 10m vs. 2m during the day

spd.4.5m: ok, similar for Spd.10m, a few more night periods where stn 1 is a bit higher speed than other sites, with stn 3 also having the lowest speed
dir.4.5m: ok, see comments for Dir.10m, slightly more NNE wind at stn 3 during the 20:00-1:00, then a bit more veering (~E) at stns 2 & 3 than the other sites until sunrise
w.4.5m: ok, not a clear separation of vertical motion among tower sites
tc.4.5m: ok, much of night stn2 about 0.3 degrees less than other sites, stn1 slightly warmer than others; daytime:  stn 2 slightly cooler than other sites, stn3 slightly warmer than stns 1 & 2
ldiag: ok

kh2oV: ok, for rain-free periods (near 150-200 mV); during rain, voltage went to 0
kh2o: night: poor response until early morning, stn 4 about 0.5 g/m^3 wetter than stn 2 both of those about 0.5-1.0 g/m^3 more moist than Sites 1 & 3, afternoon rain muddles the signal as in the licor
h2o(licor): ok, stn 1 about 0.5 g/m^3 drier than stn 3 from much of the night; close agreement in afternoon, but also separation spikes caused by rainfall
lidiag (licor): expected spikes in the data during/after rain event

TKE.4.5m: ok, few night periods (right after sunset, few hrs before sunrise) where stn 1 is slightly higher than others, with stns 2 &3 slightly lower than stn 4
w'w': ok, similar to TKE.4.5m, also in u'u' and v'v'
u*: ok, not similar to TKE.4.5m,
w'tc': ok, night: stns within 0.01 m/s C of each other, close morning agreement, stn3 slightly warmer during early afternoon
tc'tc': ok,, few night periods with stn 1 higher than other sites but not at same time as for these features in wind or TKE, close daytime agreement, stn4 slightly higher than others for late afternoon/evening
w'h2o': ok, poor response from stn2 & 4 with the krypton voltage so low during the night; late morning/early afternoon before rain: slightly higher positive flux at stn 1 & 3 vs. site 4, stn4 a bit higher also than stn 2
h2o'h2o' (licor): ok, close agreement except after the rain event
kh2o'kh2o': anomalous readings during the night and late afternoon, otherwise for the morning stns 2 & 4 are close to 1 & 3
w'co2': ok, night: more positive flux at stn 1 vs. stn 3, from 20:00-midnight, and from 2:30-5:00; daytime before the rain: close agreement; stn 1 a bit lower than stn 3 during rain but than for evening stn 3 lower than Site 1
co2'co2': ok, few spikes in overnight, stn 1 sightly higher than at stn 3, more rain-induced spikes in the afternoon, larger intensity at stn 1 vs. stn 3 though
