The Web Advisory Group (WAG) will be hosting brown bag talks on a monthly basis starting on Wednesday, November 14th, 2007 at noon (location TBD).

The first topic is "Using Wikis for Project Team Web Sites" presented by Markus Stobbs.

You'll learn:

  • Introduction to how wikis work
  • How to set up a project team home page
  • How to edit pages
  • Using advanced Confluence tags to enhance your wiki

Hope to see you there.

The Web Engineering Group is currently customizing Confluence's Universal Wiki Converter to support Swiki translation. Within months of our initial launch of Confluence, we will be ready to translate the over 70 UCAR Swikis we currently host to Confluence wikis. We will also be translating 2 Twikis hosted by CISL and MMM is translating a MediaWiki to Confluence as well.

We have begun friendly user testing of the Confluence enterprise wiki. After 2-4 weeks of working with our courageous friendly users, we will plan to launch Confluence as an official WEG service institution-wide.
