Preliminary diagram of how the wired network can be set up:

So there will be switches in CM and CB, and the cradlepoint (which has multiple ports) in D. Of course, this is subject to change if a different configuration works better during setup.

  1. I put some of this in the blog, but maybe people would look here:

The Xtream field engineer was Daren Glover (glover@xtreaminternet.com; cell: 970-975-1844).  He says not to hesitate to contact him if we have issues.

Our netmask is 255.255.255.254.  I'm not putting the static IP address here for security reasons, but maybe someone else will think that it is okay.

I also want to note here that the cable from the Cradlepoint to the Ubiquiti access point belongs to Xtream.  Daren also left us a POE injector in case powering from the "d" DSM fails.  Along those lines, he thought that the spec for their Ubiquiti was 15W max, 7?W nominal.  The DCDC converter in the DSM is rated at 10W.  We have a few 20W converters in our stock, but we'd have to search (perhaps in other DSMs) for them.  (I thought we even had some 30W, but I can't find them listed on the WWW anywhere now.)  10W: AXA000H18-L;  20W: AXA00H18-L (horrible part numbering!)
